Itinerary
Arrive at Kushok Bakula airport Leh and drive to hotel and check-in. Evening visit Shanti Stupa, on a hilltop in Changspa, Gyomyo Nakamura and part of the Peace Pagoda mission. Later visit Leh Palace. In the evening walk around local market. Dinner and overnight stay at Leh.(D)
After breakfast visit Hall of Fame, Kali Mata Temple, Spituk Gompa, and Gurudwara Patthar Sahib. Drive another few km to witness the magic of Magnetic Hill and confluence of the Indus and Zanskar River.Dinner and overnight stay at Leh. (B,D)
After breakfast drive to Nubra valley, this journey through serpentine roads lead you to the Khardungla Pass. On the way visit valley of Deskit and the Deskit Gompa. Drive to Hunder past an area of sand dunes and get acquainted with the famous Bactrian camels. Dinner and overnight stay in camp/ hotel at Nubra.(B,D)
After breakfast we drive to Pangong Lake via Shayok and onto Tang Tse and Spangmik (Pangong).The road follows the Shayok river, and climbs up a mountain before finally descending into Shayok village. Afternoon we reached Pangong Lake and enjoy at Lake. Dinner and overnight stay in a camp/ hotel at Pangong. (B,D)
Get up early to witness sunrise at the lake. After breakfast drive back to Leh via Changla Pass. Arrive at Leh and check in at the hotel. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Dinner & overnight stay at Leh.(B,D)
After breakfast, drive to visit Hemis Monastery it is the largest and the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. From Hemis, drive back taking the same route to visit Thiksey Monastery, Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya Buddha.After that we continue to drive through series of chortens to visit Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. Sindhu Darshan. Overnight stay at Leh.(B,D)
